About NESA

Alt textAs a Snowsport England regional body NESA, the North East Snowsport Association promotes and represents snowsports in the Northeast of England.

The organisation is managed by an executive committee consisting of a Chair, secretary and treasurer with committee positions representing each of the SSE registered clubs. Within the committee structure there is a designated welfare officer and a coaching representative.

The region’s clubs and facilities offer opportunities for Alpine, Nordic and Freestyle Ski development, race training and competitions, as well as Snowboarding, Snow Tubing and Adaptive Skiing.

The region has instructors and coaches who are qualified to provide training at artificial outdoor and indoor facilities and in Alpine ski resorts. Alpine ski coaching is available up to international competition level. The region has several “adaptive skiing” qualified coaches to meet the needs of participants with disabilities.

The region also has a number of Tutors who are qualified to train new Instructors and coaches.
